Ski stay close to Sugarbush

This rental was absolutely perfect for our family. The house is historic, charming and well equipped with games and comfort.

Everyone had easy nights rest and the location is convenient for going into town and getting to Sugarbush (and I’m sure Mad River). The view from the dining room is so pretty especially watching the fluffy snow as it did much of the weekend! The kitchen is well stocked with spices and such and is easy to cook in. I would absolutely come back and stay here again.

Incredibly charming and historic Vermont house!

The owners have done a lovely job renovating and updating this jewel box (with a super high-tech heating system,

modern plumbing, and brand new washer/dryer) while still retaining the traditional floorboards and layout. We also loved that the house had a ski boot dryer rack and fireplace/hearth. I have stayed in 4 different Airbnbs in the Mad River Glen area and this house was the only one to provide a drying rack for ski boots—genius of them! There is also plenty of room in the entry way to gear up / peel off any damp layers from the ski day.

Overall we loved this house and the owners were very communicative. Would book again in a heart beat!

It is a great place and the location is perfect.

Cute and comfortable

My husband and I enjoyed our stay with beautiful views and off the beaten path. We were comfortable in the space

and looked forward to coming back each evening after a day of exploring. Wifi worked well. Host left a helpful binder with information and recommendations. We used the kitchen, and it had the cookware we needed.

What a Valley View!

This place was perfect for our annual girlfriends’ ski getaway because it was 15 min. to Sugarbush! The home is

as pictured except the valley view was even BETTER than imagined (and they added a futon to the first floor”office”)! The beds were comfortable; all modern amenities including internet/streaming made this a relaxing stay. Thank you! This is a beautifully upkept 1801 home and still has some of those original specs and charm (see tips). Enjoy it! Thanks again for a wonderful stay in this winter wonderland! Tips for future renters: we had unseasonably warm weather for a February stay, which made for an early “mud” season. In mud, use caution when driving on the access road; no need for a 4WD car though. Remember to read the kitchen description carefully as there is no microwave. Anyone over 5’3″ will need to remember to duck when ascending/descending the stairs.

We loved our stay.

Beautiful setting with a wonderful walk across a snowfield down to the river. Close to Sugar Bush for easy access to the

mountain and skiing. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The large dining table on the porch was perfect for playing board games. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

An updated (where necessary) iconic Vermont farmhouse.

Cozy, functional and very comfortable. One of my favorite stays of the year honestly.

Kitchen was practical, beds comfy and what a great bathroom! Enjoyed staying here for a few days while working in the area. Would return!

House is charming and still has old charm with some diy updates.

There were a few amenities which I appreciated very much, a clean sponge and dish soap along with 2 washer pods.

Heat worked very well and the gas fireplace is a nice touch to the ambiance.

Waitsfield VT Farm House

Over all ok, we were there to celebrate Thanksgiving with family who live locally so there to sleep. I will say the upstairs

queen is very uncomfortable & having all but one pillow in the home, large & firm a problem. I usually travel with pillow but forgot this trip I did not sleep well.

We stayed at Historic Valley View as a stop on a fall foliage trip. Such a wonderful spot to get to amazing small towns and great views.

We have been using Abnb for years, and have been surprised with a disappointing experience now and again… this is not that.

The Farmhouse was exactly as described and photographed, as well as very clean and well-equipped.

Amazing shower. Great screened porch for evening bugs. And the best-equipped kitchen we’ve encountered and that’s important, since we ‘eat in’ most meals when traveling like this. Of course the setting is amazing, the Mad River Valley unique as a rural beauty. What you may not realize is that in Summer (we were late May) you can ride your bike to coffee, dinner, and cool your toes in the river. Farm stores with fabulous ingredients, some ready-to-eat meals, beer and wine, ice cream, and baked goods surround the Farm — we visited 3 within 5 miles (I think there are more).

The Farmhouse is also on a gravel road that is one of the prettiest gravel-bike routes in VT. We rode from the Farmhouse 3 days in 3 different directions without even getting in the car. Win!

The quiet is unsurpassable.

It is a well-appointed property, and very clean. It is an 1801 property that has been beautifully preserved.

But that means there is one bathroom on the bottom floor while the master bedroom is on the second. The owners add thoughtful little things in the kitchen and around the house. Recommended!

Overall I very much enjoyed my stay!

It was a very cute and quaint house – definitely felt inside that it was built in the early 1800s which was cool!

The only thing I will note is that the upstairs is much smaller than you would expect and very low ceilings/space. Of course this is an old house and you really could feel that in the upstairs bedrooms. Also, I think it is mentioned in the description but there is no bathroom upstairs. The one bathroom is on the first floor. Overall a good stay!

We had a great stay over New Years weekend!

The kitchen was perfect for cooking a few small meals and had everything that we needed.

The living room was comfortable for 4 people to spend time together in. And the bathroom was newly renovated. During the day we skied at Sugarbush and visited Stowe, and made a few fires outside in the evenings.

One thing to note if you’re traveling with friends is that one of the bedrooms doesn’t have a door – so not much privacy! And there is no dishwasher (I believe this is noted in the listing, but just FYI).

Beautiful Vermont Get-Away

Vermont Property We stayed in this fantastic picturesque setting in the Vermont countryside. The scenery was peaceful.

Mountains and large fields. Farm houses, barns, streams, and trees. It was a wonderful place literally minutes from a small New England town that offers all we would need or want. If you would love staying in a quiet natural settings that meets all your needs, this place is for you!
